Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about connecting Tezi to your TeslaMate.
What is Tezi?
Tezi is a native iOS app that displays the data recorded by your own TeslaMate server — drives, charges, efficiency, battery health and more — in a fast, premium interface designed for iPhone and iPad.
Do I need my own TeslaMate server?
Yes. Tezi is a viewer, not a tracker: it doesn't connect to your car or to Tesla directly. You need a running TeslaMate instance with TeslaMateApi enabled. If you just want to look around first, use the built-in demo mode — no server required.
Does Tezi collect or store my data?
No. Tezi has no backend, no accounts and no analytics. Your server settings stay in the app's local database and your credentials stay in the iOS Keychain, on your device. Nothing is sent to us. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Which authentication methods are supported?
Tezi can connect with no auth, a Bearer token, Basic authentication (username & password), or Cloudflare Access service tokens — so it works with most self-hosted setups.
My server runs over plain HTTP on my home network. Does that work?
Yes. Many TeslaMate instances run over HTTP on a local network, and Tezi supports that. On iOS 18 and later, the system may ask permission to reach devices on your local network the first time — allow it so Tezi can connect to your server.
What's the difference between Free and Tezi Pro?
Free includes the live overview, drives, charges, battery health and the last 30 days of history for one server. Tezi Pro unlocks unlimited history, advanced analytics, live charging with Dynamic Island, multiple servers and data export. It's a single one-time purchase — no subscription.
Is Tezi Pro a subscription?
No. Tezi Pro is a one-time, non-consumable purchase. You pay once and keep it forever.
I bought Pro — how do I restore it on a new device?
Open the Tezi Pro screen and tap Restore Purchases. As long as you're signed in with the same Apple Account, your purchase will be restored.
How do refunds work?
All purchases are processed by Apple. Refund requests are handled through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Which languages does Tezi support?
English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch and Norwegian, with locale-aware units and currency.
Are widgets, Apple Watch or Vision Pro coming?
They're on the roadmap. Tezi already includes Live Activities and Dynamic Island for charging; Home Screen widgets, an Apple Watch app, Siri Shortcuts and Vision Pro support are planned for future updates.
How do I get help or send feedback?
Email tezi@leyad.net — feature requests and bug reports are very welcome.
