Privacy Policy

Tezi (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is a native iOS application that displays data from a TeslaMate server that you host and control. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use Tezi.

Data we collect about you

None. Tezi has no backend servers, no user accounts, and no analytics or tracking SDKs. We never receive your vehicle data, your location, your credentials, or any usage information.

Data stored on your device

To function, Tezi stores the following locally on your device only:

• Server settings and preferences — the address and label of your TeslaMate server, selected vehicles, tariffs, charging-cost overrides, battery-capacity overrides and map preferences.
• App preferences — display units, appearance, history filters and optional fuel-comparison settings, retained until you change them or delete the app.
• Credentials — any access token, username/password, or Cloudflare Access secret you enter is stored in the iOS Keychain, encrypted by the system and never transmitted anywhere except to your own server.
• Chosen photos — if you choose a vehicle hero photo or profile image, a protected copy is stored locally. Vehicle photos are removed with their server; a profile image remains until you replace or remove it, or delete the app. Tezi accesses photos only through Apple's system picker and never scans your library.
• Vehicle and trip cache — recent vehicle status, charging sessions, drives and GPS routes are cached locally so the app can load quickly and continue to show previously loaded information while your server is unavailable.
• Widget, Siri and Live Activity data — a limited, pre-formatted snapshot of the latest drive, current battery status or charging session is stored in Apple's shared App Group storage or managed by iOS so the feature can work outside the main app.

Server-specific settings, cached trips and GPS routes, credentials, vehicle photos, map and battery preferences, shared Widget/Siri snapshots and any related Live Activity are retained until you delete that server in Tezi. Deleting a server removes this associated data from the device. Data for your other configured servers is preserved.

Deleting the app removes its local database, caches and photos under iOS. Apple may retain Keychain items across an app deletion; if you plan to uninstall Tezi and want credentials removed as well, delete each configured server in Tezi first.

Network connections

Tezi has no developer-operated backend. The app requests your vehicle data from the TeslaMate server address you provide, which may be on your local network or a remote host you control. Tezi does not send that data to us. Apple system services used by the app — including Apple Maps for map content and StoreKit for purchases — may connect to Apple under Apple's privacy policy. Because self-hosted servers are often reached over your local network, iOS may ask for permission to access devices on your local network; Tezi uses that permission solely to reach your configured server.

Purchases

Tezi offers an optional one-time “Tezi Pro” unlock through Apple's In-App Purchase system. Payments are processed entirely by Apple under Apple's privacy policy. Tezi never sees your payment details; we only receive, from the device, whether the purchase is active.

Third parties

Tezi does not integrate third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. Apple provides App Store and StoreKit services for delivering the app and processing the optional purchase, and Apple Maps provides map content. Those Apple services are governed by Apple's privacy policy.

Children

Tezi is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new “last updated” date.
